‘SOMETHING SPECIAL’ ABOUT MOWBRAY

Pupils from Mowbray School in Bedale are to star in the new series of Something Special’, the series from BBC children’s show, CBeebies created especially for children with special needs.

There was great excitement as Justin Fletcher, aka CBeebies Mr Tumble and the ‘Something Special’ crew recently spent a day filming on the school farm, food technology area and classrooms with Mowbray pupils for a ‘Something Special’ episode to be broadcast in January 2016.

The filming followed a visit to the school last summer by the ‘Something Special’ casting crew searching for stars for their next series when they not only signed up four of our pupils; Max Holden, Beatrice Clegg, Laura Parker and Ben Walker, but were so impressed with our facilities and farm they have decided to film an entire episode in and around the school.

We were all sworn to secrecy until a BBC film crew and Mr Tumble swooped early one morning on a school day earlier this month and needless to say no one is allowed to say what the theme of the program is so you will have to wait until next year to watch the episode. Could the theme be ‘Something Special about Mowbray School’? We’ll just have to wait and see.
